πŸ’₯ STAGED HEADS TO TATE MODERN πŸ’₯

7-8pm, Saturday 31/08/19, Tate Exchange (L5 Blavatnik Building) Tate Modern

STAGED is taking part in the staff biennale β€˜Inside Job’ at Tate Exchange. STAGED’s curator Kaitlyn Walker-Stewart is a full time member of staff at Tate and is participating in the biennale through her project STAGED to show Tate’s visitors her curatorial development.

The work within this screening responds to ideas of connections between performance and the digital archive/documentation/digital translations of liveness and performance in the digital age.

The artists screening at STAGED ON SCREEN are: AnaΓ―s Comer, Hasan Daraghmeh, Sam Derounian, Martha Horn, Kamila IΕΌykowicz, Anni Kruus, Tatjana Macic, Campbell McConnell, Mia Middleton, Sid & Jim, Antonis Sideras, Heather Sincavage, Shareen Sorour, Rotem Volk & Alissa Oleva and Kaitlyn Walker-Stewart

Kaitlyn will be giving a short talk from 7 before the screening about STAGED and its activity over the past two years. The event will conclude after an hour at 8pm.

We hope to see you there! ✨

Prop-Up Shop is the first exhibition presented by STAGED. Prop-Up Shop considers the agency of props and discarded material often left behind, or thrown away, during performance after the work has 'finished'. What happens to these props when they outlive performance? Can they be repurposed to engage an audience and continue to tell a story in a space which is absent from live movement?

The artists exhibiting in Prop-Up Shop are: Abigail Braley, Jennifer Milarski-Stermsec, Katherine Plumb, Sophie Popper and Kaitlyn Walker-Stewart
